Sub-Project

For Siemens the major goal of this project is to understand and to evaluate the technical valence and the technological feasibility of 60 GHz Communication systems. To understand this, a demonstrator system will be designed and realized within the Consortium and should be investigated in view of suitability for applications where data needs to be transferred off-axis between rotating parts of a system at ultra high datarates.

On a technical level, Siemens CT PS will work on methods to perform a distance-measurement between the two radios involved in the communications link by means of roundtrip phase measurement.

The demonstration of technical valence will also be conducted by Siemens CT PS.
